After a long, cold New England winter, I came home in June '82 and literally rolled right into Jerry Jeff Walker's 40th b-day bash. Great day of music, but my driver's license photo taken later that week shows me as lobster red, but over the near-heatstroke delirium I experienced. And then some great reggae shows at the Meadows (?) and Manor - highlight where Peter Tosh waved to the local fuzz waiting for the show to end to arrest him for toking it up live on stage. Good times.
I remember a lot of these, especially Willies picnics, Hill on the moon and one you don’t have called Kings Village. Thank you for this trip Down Memory Ln., Michael!
I was at two concerts at Steiner Ranch in the '70s. One had Waylon, Jimmy Buffett, and Rusty Wier. The other had Willie, Billy Joe, Alex Harvey, and the Wheel. I have no idea what the specific dates were. All I still have is contact sheets, as the original negatives and prints were lost in a flood. At least two other performers, whom I don't recognize or remember, were at the Willie one and Tommy Steiner performed at one of them.
At King's Village, I saw shows where ZZ and Sugarloaf (Green Eyed Lady) were headliners. Possibly more, but intoxicants were prevalent in that era. ... I took my GF, my brother, and a friend of his to Sunday Break (I). Great show! Wolfman Jack was the MC. Had seen Frampton in San Antonio years before with Humble Pie, so easily convinced my group to drive up from Houston and Texas City. Dreamweaver Wright and Santana were icing. ... Also took my GF to two of the first five Willie's Picnics. Best one had the Pointer Sisters, and Dr John with his wife.

Kings Village will be in the book in the chapter on Krackerjack.
I remember them saw them all over the place but the best venue was the New Orleans club.
