A couple of great shows for us were The Horsies opening for Diamond Smugglers and James Hall opening for Maria McKee. Vic Chesnutt had a great night there as well.
That Cheap Trick show at Emo's was the best of the 5 or 6 times I've seen them over the years: I also couldn't believe they were playing that excellent shit hole, rather than the usual large venue. And I took my teenage daughter,
who loved it! Also, totally agree that the RIverside Emo's was a soulless (and a terrible-sounding) room
I had a lot of fun at the Electric Lounge, at least until Wammo got that restraining order against me.
