Thanks, Michael. I particularly enjoyed the story about John Rich. 😄 Mojo was larger than life. He will be greatly missed.

Michael, you put so much heart and soul in this piece. Some of your finest writing. I had to read it twice.

Sad to hear this. I have friends in the tour that I recommended they catch Mojo’s set. I shared a house for two years with Evan John’s back in the 80s, and Mojo was a steady couch surfer.

As Hub McCann (Robert Duvall character in Secondhand Lions) would have said, "He died with his boots on!"

As a long time friend of Bullethead I was provided the opportunity to work at Mojo and Adair's wedding. We all were provided caltrans orange shirts with Mushroom Mania Inc patches. I served drinks while they offered Peanut Butter Bacon Banana sandwiches A La Elvis. I heard about this sad moment on the day it occured and tears were shed remembering Mojo's smile and amazing perspective on life. So many amazing shows where we all learned to loosen up our ponytails and go into an alcohol fueled frenzy of call and response. Fun and Joy are all I recall thinking of him. One time at a crazy white elephant poker game Mojo put his spare tire in the pot. When the guy that won it tried to refuse Mojo led us to his car and forced him to take it. I heard a week later Mojo had a flat and had to request it back. I will always remember him. One man who made rock n roll a crusade against the establishment that wants to suck the joy out of being an Outlaw. Make mine Mojo FOREVER!

I will miss his voice on the radio. It's kind of hard to believe it is never to be heard no more.

I was a bit taken aback when I saw the news of Mo Jo's passing come across the Internet. Reality can really suck at times. He always put a smile on my face as his work was fun and not to be taken to seriously. Mo Jo after all was about having fun! RIP Brother

I was on the Cruise, but Mojo died before I saw him. His passing caused more emotional performances from several other acts.

Do you know the date of the Memorial show at The Continental yet? Glad you were on that cruise, Corky, to celebrate and mourn Mojo's passing in style.

We were there to sing along with his last show and hoped like hell the rumors of his passing were some twisted Andy Kaufman-esque joke on Mojo’s part. Sadly, it was true, but damn he went out in a blaze of glory.

Just read this in a north London park. Not far from where I sit are blue historical plaques for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Charles Dickens. Mojo was as much an artist as those gents were. Fact. 🪕
