Hey Michael...how about the Warren Zevon show that was so hot inside that my buddy passed out on the floor, only to be dragged out into the cage by the bouncer, Or driving by one night I yelled out the window of my car to the door woman "What's the cover" to which she replied "$10", so I asked her who was playing. She responded "Jeff Buckley". I said I never heard of him "would you do 2-fer-one?" and she responded "come on in". Best show ever!

Great article, it brings back many great memories. One of my favorite shows was the Descendents in '97.

Regarding credits, I took the Sonic Youth sound check picture and was with Kenny Attal. I would appreciate if you can update.

Liberty Lunch was one of my favorite hangouts. One night on my birthday I was in line with a bunch of my girlfriends. Charlie Tesar and his son saw me and said they sat behind me at church on Sunday and loved my singing. That night he invited me in as his guest. I told him I had a bunch of girlfriends in line as they were helping me celebrate my birthday. He let them all in that night. From then on, I celebrated my birthday as his guest for as long as Liberty Lunch existed. Charlie's recognition of me as a singer led to his invitation of hosting my Comedy Sketch Troupe, The Better Than TV Players during that winter season. When his wife, Sheila passed away, he and his children asked me to sing at her funeral. I will always be grateful for Charlie and Sheila for their encouragement, support, and love.

The picture for Gloriathon looks like one of mine and I'm pretty certain the demolition shot was by Sung Park if you're looking to provide appropriate credits.

they let me put posters all over their wooden front fence.... i would skate there and they would offer me a beer if i wanted to skate to the bar and freak people out..... one night i did that at GWAR and truly freaked people out.... i was offered many shots for improving peoples trips and melting into and out of the non sequitor coconut mural..... at the Rauls reunion there at liberty 🗽i was backstage and saw gibby haynes pass MY JOINT to Willie Nelson

My favorite memory was Soul Hat on New Year's Eve. I think it was 1992...

Saw SO many of my first shows at the Lunch. With the exception of *maybe* Sugar with Magnapop at LL or MBV at AMH , that Dinosaur Jr / MBV / Babes in Toyland was likely the LOUDEST show I ever saw...and it was glorious. Another highlight for me was seeing Cowboy Junkies cover "The Post" by DJ. They got loud that night. I saw them twice at LL....the first time was the first time I saw the doors to the left of the stage open and only the second of two times I ever saw seating there. (First was Pogues....which was weird)

I saw so many great bands at Liberty Lunch. My first was The Replacements on the Let It Be tour. But I wasn't sad when they closed. Those last few years I dreaded going there to see a band I liked because the guy that always worked at the front door checking tickets (who I always referred to as that Johnny Winter looking mother f-cker) would harass me. Just put a huge damper on the entire experience. Total A-hole...

Dan Del Santo used to do a good job of promoting upcoming Liberty Lunch performers on his World Music Show. I saw Arrow there because of that.
