Saw them at the Cactus one night years ago. Was it JD Foster who dragged me along? Yet, it's like a dream. Sometimes I wonder if it's a night I dreamed up. But no! Trash Man Shoes . These guys!!!! Now I know. It was real.
We Austinites in the know got to enjoy them on a regular basis, wonderfully original and unique band. I have to thank JD for giving me an assistant engineer credit on the Trashman's Shoes LP for holding the mike for a remote recording of a pool ball break that opens the song Lula's Bar & Pool.
Trip down memory lane. They were one of my fave's late 80's. I remember they played some very-well lit with natural light kind of hotel lounge in the middle of day for an early SXSW. In other words they were given a crappy slot. And they were just as big and fun sounding as ever. Great energy.
