Margaret was a wonderful human being and a fierce friend. I especially loved her Princess Di tiaras and that laugh. One of my favorite forces of nature!
Well, this came up during a discussion. I did some video work for her. One episode was an interview with Motley Crue. (and full access for my crew) Notable was the introduction to them of (a young and skinny) Charlie Sexton. He never turned his face to the camera. I posted this on FB with a link to the Oxford American article.
A VERY special person. We had a great time orchestrating the celebration of the Crickets and Nanci Griffith at the AMAs, after my indie label put out "The Crickets and Their Buddies." It was a love fest.
Nicely written Michael. When i was researching an Austin Music powerpoint for Austin tour guides, i visited with Margaret via email. Even though she was struggling with the ravages of cancer, she was very gracious. And steered me in the right directions. I was always a fan. Still am. Have no idea how many of her articles i've read. She knew so many of the 'behind the scenes' stories. Thanks for sharing this. Can't have been easy to write...but you capture beautifully the depth of feeling and intensity that was Margaret.
Through my friendship with Melinda(Texas blonde) and working at the Raw Deal ( art/politics nexus restaurant) and also Dino Lee , I knew Margaret from way back, we too had our ups and downs, I was a very very minor player in her life. But I was blown away when she went to bat for my daughter's high school rock band "schmillion" . It reached new heights because of ms Moser's influence and attention.
Confession: I did join in with a general trend to slag on ALL chron writers a bit. No critic/writer was given a complete pass by us jackyl readers...
I think it's caused by a jealousy over a cool job really

A Margaret Moser book with all of her articles and comments would be amazing. We need a book to chronicle Margaret's passion for music!
Margret was a true friend and advisor to me, and my music career. I miss her...
There are some things? Is there more to that sentence? Lovely piece.
Brilliant, Michael. Great job!
Wish I had known Margaret Moser. She sounds like my kind of person.
Godspeed and RIP Margaret.

I did not know Margaret very well, but when I needed a quote to use in my book, TEXAS COWBOY, she wrote a great one for me. A good girl.

Beautiful
Great article! Thanks
never had the pleasure remember reading some of her work and knew that she had made her mark in Austin with the music community
