"Stevie Ray Vaughan Park" was nixed by family
I always thought the placement was to highlight the Austin City skyline like the Austin City Limits show I saw him as a kid on for the very first time... even made sure to wait to see it at night last June when I visited.

Nice piece. I think that Austin is the only place in Texas with TWO statues to honor musicians: Stevie and Willie.

No disrespect meant to AustTex. Just both shocked and amazed that a business town like Dallas would EVER recognize a creative type like Stevie.
