Great edu-ma-cation on one of my favorite acts. Only seen him in person twice, but it was awesome!

I have to say, that one of the great thrills of my experience as the promoter of Sings Like Hell in Santa Barbara was watching the faces in the audience when Junior Brown kicked off his set!

It might have been that 1989 SXSW show where JB followed three guys called the Hellecasters playing Telecasters in perfect synchrony. The audience was pleased enough, but they erupted when the guy they really came to see, Junior Brown, came out blazing.

Junior's next Texas date is June 20 at The Heights in Houston. You never know when he will play Diesel Smoke Dangerous Curves.

Hot damn, more great names dropped than Bob Dylan's "Murder Most Foul" and more fun for that matter. Ernest Tubbs, Hank Garland, Duane Eddy, Buddy Miles, Leon, Willie, Travis Tritt and Bob himself. I loved the insight and history of the guit-steel double necker. Plus, along with Austin there's some Okie references and besides I live in New Mexico, Land of Entrapment and good chile. Keep up the great writing!

I must admit, Michael, your encyclopedic knowledge of Austin’s music history and the outstanding personal stories of all that happened in your life and Austin’s music scene are most excellent! Keep on keeping on!
