A shame we can't figure out a way to invest in our music venues somehow. Eventually there will not be any live music in central Austin and then what will be the point of living here? Just another city at that point.
You nailed it. That Run-DMC show was amazing but for my money the Trouble Funk show was even more so. Mahlathini and the Mahotella Queens too! And Fang! Goddamn I got to see some great stuff there.
So many great shows and memories. After a Stereolab show my girlfriend ( now wife) fell down the embankment across the street at the river and separated her elbow!
The Nirvana show was constant energy!
The best of all were the Big Boys shows, when so many people from the audience were on stage to sing along and stage diving that you couldn't see that there was also a band in there somewhere!
Hub City Movers played our last reunion at Liberty Lunch in October 1985. Mark (and we) were hoping for a bigger turnout. Only other time I was there was next to last time I've seen Buddy Guy (https://technologists.com/privatemp3s/images/20231018_bulletinboardStormBuddy.jpg)

The Mighty Diamonds put on a great show at LL! Dan Del Santo opened for either them or The Gladiators, who were also terrific there.
"Owed"???????? I think you mean "Ode"

Trouble Funk was my Liberty Lunch highlight. Wasn't yet here for the Club Foot show.
